A mermaid sits on a rock contemplating the sea. She is made from brass and is a rich, warm color. The figure is reminiscent of Copenhagen's The Little Mermaid, from which the Disney character is also taken. The statue in Copenhagen's harbor was recently refurbished and I'm sure she's guarding her citizens well. Perhaps she's dreaming of one of those Danish pastries on land!
