About Marble
Marble is a metamorphic rock made up of recrystallized carbonate minerals and is commonly used for sculptures and as a building product. Marble bookends come in a variety of styles including: Zebra Black Marble - Comes with white and grey colored steaks and waves with thin lines and specks. Variations in the amount and pattern of these impurities make black marble stone a very precious and attractive stone. Imperial Green Marble – A premium dark green marble of serpentine nature. Because of its ability to take high polish it is mainly used on interior floors and decorative purposes. Forest Brown Marble - Another premium type of brown marble that resembles the earthy color and highly used in the manufacturing of tiles, slabs and blocks.
Care and Maintenance of Marble Bookends
To keep your marble bookends looking as good as new, simply wipe them down with a warm damp cloth and then dry thoroughly with a dry cloth. Marble bookends have a natural luster and should not be heavily polished or scrubbed, and abrasives should never be used on marble.
