Eagle, Bronzed/Patina Finished Brass on Burlwood Bookends, T.P. (BEY)

This is an incredible set of eagle heads made from bronzed and patina-finished brass and they sit on a rich, red, burl wood base. One edge of the base slopes and gives the set an elegant look. You can see the fine detailing in their feathers, their watchful eyes, and curved raptor's beaks. It's a consensus that raptors in the dinosaurs' day, even though they couldn't fly, were also warm-blooded like our birds of today.
